What is the proper way to oil while i am drilling into steel. And what about oiling when using a chop saw?

Drill slowly add a drop of oil or dip the drill in the oil as you go. You wouldn't be using any oil with a chop saw since the blade would be some type of fiber that wears as you go. That is of course assuming that you are cutting steel. What is the proper way to oil while i am drilling into steel. And what about oiling when using a chop saw?
alll the chop saws i have used an expendable fiber blade so no oiling was necesary.

You can take either plumbers putty or window putty and make a ''well''' around the drill site and fill it with oil. What is the proper way to oil while i am drilling into steel. And what about oiling when using a chop saw?
Chop saw has fiber blade needs no oiling. Drilling another matter, you can buy cutting oil, it keeps the drill bit cool while drilling, or use beeswax I used this in drilling stainless and titainum
When drilling into steel you always want to use a smaller bit as a pilot hole and a low speed I.e. 1/2 inch hole start with a 1/4 inch then use a 3/8 inch then use the half inch The purpose of the oil is to keep the drill bit from overheating ... so use the oil as needed As the others stated a chop saw doesn't need oil And if you try to use oil you will throw oil all over the place.
