The democrats and their enviormentalist nutjobs (like Al Gore) create laws preventing the drilling for oil. America actually has more than enough of its own oil. Just that we are not allowed to get it because some insect or bird's nest might be harmed. Silly, I know. But that's the democrats for you. And they want to elect another one!Why dont they allow more drilling sites for oil to ease our gas crisis?
Because our government doesn't want to upset the environmentalists. There is a huge amount of oil and natural gas in the gulf of Mexico. China is going to start drilling there. China couldn't give a crap about environmentalists, or global warnming. So I guess we'll just let them get all the oil, and then have to buy it from them.
This isn't a supply crisis, its a crisis with the american economy. On the market the oil is sold and brough with American dollars and if the dollar weakens the price of oil will go up because it will take more dollars to buy the same amount.





There are reports of oil tankers sitting off the coast because all the tanks are full. The demand is actually dropping.. with the US dollar.
Yes! Everyone wants it done, all of the politicians for sure. The only problem is the old, not in my backyard. When you are riding on Daytona Beach, they don't want you seeing oil rigs, God forbid an oil spill. The same for Myrtle Beach, the Outer Banks, Atlantic City Boardwalk, The Hamptons, Cape Cod. Are you getting the picture?
There is supposed to be a huge, untapped oil field that is called Gull Island in Alaska. There's to supposed to be so much that it will last many, many years.





I don't believe that environmentalists are preventing any more drilling.





I think the high price of oil is due to market manipulation and the very weak US dollar.
