Democratic congress and oil drilling?

They claim to be the ';Party of the poor and middle class';, YET, they don't want to take any intiative to lower gas prices.. They told America, we will only lower gas prices if we take it out of our reserve. AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING. So can they really claim they are the party of the ';Poor and middle class'; when they don't even understand what they are experiencing at the moment?Democratic congress and oil drilling?
Russia has gained control of the last pipe line to Europe that doesn`t go through their territory. Now they control all of them





China is drilling all over the world, even off Florida with Cuba. In fact the whole world is drilling including Mexico and Canada.





Russia just opened the largest oil field and turned sakhalin island into a giant gas station in 2005. Now they have money and power to use against us.





We are forced to buy oil from our enemies.





Our prices are going up for everything because everything is made with oil, from paint, to plastic, to your roads, to cell phones, to Madeline make up.





Diesel is 4.50 a gal for trucks that move our economy. Everything in stores gets there by trucks. So everything costs more.





Because everything cost more people lose their jobs.





But as Nancy Pelosi (D - CA) said,';I am trying to save the planet';, so I guess she means, screw you America, we won`t drill.Democratic congress and oil drilling?
Only the un educated and un informed fall for this crap from the Republicans. Those of us who check facts and read books do not.


Drilling is not the answer. It has never been the answer. Only foolish people think that way. Even if we did drill for more oil and found it, we can not refine the oil into gas, current capacity is at 92 percent. It takes 10 years to build a refinery and no one wants one in there backyard. The answer is conservation. When demand goes down the supply of gas is up and the price of gas goes down. Just like it did recently. Supply remained the same. Simple economics which Republicans don't understand, it's over there head. Bush was asked to release the reserves and he refused. This would not have lowered the price of gas. The Republicans who controlled Congress for seven years also did nothing to help the working class. When Republicans were in the majority they could have ended the ban on off shore drilling and Bush would have rubber stamped the legislation as he did all others.


When Republicans gave big oil big tax breaks exxon made $46 billion in profit as a result.


Only stupid Republicans blame Democrats for the high cost of gas when Republicans did nothing about it in 7 years..
The democratic Congress does not have a clue on what to do next. They huddle together like a gaggle of scared school kids, afraid to act, but more afraid to show individual courage and do what is right.





What is even scarier about this Congress, they wait for that idiot Pelosi who really can't get on the right page.





I have grave concerns about the democratic party. It is quaking in it's boots for fear of making the wrong decision.





They don't realize, we need them to make a decision, even if it's the wrong decision, at least they will show a little gumption if they did that !
Oil prices are coming down. We have learned to manage with less usage. No oil company has asked too drill anywhere else. Stock holders of everything but oil have figured out what we already knew. When oil is up the market is down. This issue is all about it being an election year. Period.
Guess i think of the Demo's as the party for welfare and Hollywood elitists.
Actions speak louder than words.
