Sounds fine to MY pocketbook. I can't see how anyone could be opposed to lower gas prices. Flooding the market with cheep oil sounds like a dream come true. ';From your mouth to God's ear. Amen';

I would MUCH rather see greedy American oil companies make the profits than greedy middle east oil companies and nations who foster terrorism around the world get the profits.
The Oil Mafia will use the oil pumps to raise or lower the price according to their policy of preventing any government action to move away from an 'oil only' energy policy. If the price rises to a point where it looks like 50+ mpg cars will become the vehical of choice, the price of oil will go down disrupting that trend. It will take a government with brass.....anatomy ....to stop this industry from using the public like a yo-yo. So far these people have set back the movement to efficent, less polluting transportation by a quarter of a century. This is why they insist on drilling...to keep this mass robbery going. How obvious do you have to get before even the right wing radio dimwits get the message. The public is just a sheep to be sheared by these bums.....no kiddin'!
what I see at the moment is artificially raised and engineered oil prices in order to cut down emisions to satisfy the ecosystem nutters.... don't you remember publicity awhile back that stated that emissions needed to be going down and ingenious ways to accomplish it were needed, well their ingenious ways meant skyrocketing oil prices so no one could afford to continue fossil fuel usage as everyone was accustomed to using, the problem is, that doesn't stop China at all, and eventually China will be using every bit as much as everyone else was... even Iran has stated there is no reason for any of the price increases for oil given supply and demand, its all been artifically inflated the same as it was in the 70's
If you see that, don't the oil companies see that?





That is one reason why they haven't used all the drilling permits they have on hand (35k, I believe).
