Which party has voted against every bill to allow oil drilling in the u.s?

There aren't enough undeveloped domestic oil reserves to make any difference in the price of gas. Not when demand is unbounded and rising dramatically, both here and abroad.

The oil companies know this perfectly well. They are not interested in bringing the price down. If they thought additional drilling would bring the price down by any significant amount, they wouldn't want to drill.

They want to drill so they can sell more oil at the high price it now commands, and the higher price they expect it will command, before the oil the market is finished entirely.

Also, domestic consumption is to a great extent for unnecessary travel. It is a luxury. An extravagence.

But the oil being consumed for it is, potentially at least, a strategic military resource, vital to the defense of this nation.

I don't considere it a national emergency if a few million coddled fast food addicts can't afford to eat three meals a day out of a McDonald's drive thru, in an F-350.

It is base, thoughtless gluttony to demand it should all be developed now, for unnecessary consumption now, with no thought given whatsoever to the possibility that it may be very badly needed in the future.

The US should have begun a national effort to converting its economy away from this dependence on oil, at least thirty years ago.Which party has voted against every bill to allow oil drilling in the u.s?
There's oil drilling in the US. What are you talking about?Which party has voted against every bill to allow oil drilling in the u.s?
The Democrats and a few green Republicans, if they keep it up we will not have to worry about vehicle emissions because there wont be any.~
Democrat.....Now ask which party screams the loudest about becoming independent on foreign oil? Right again....Democrats.......
~~~~~~~~~
The party of exploitation is not the party of exploration.
The problem lies in not the oil but the refineries. Republicans have held hands with the oil companies. If the current administration would give them a tax break ( wink wink) for building refineries, I bet gas and diesel would go down. Remember, the US has plenty of oil to last America the next hundred years and oil fields are still producing. We need refineries and thats where the problems are. We haven't built a refinery in 30 years.
Why it was the republicanTs. If they allowed drilling here and cheaper oil prices they would have less money to line there pockets with.
People are starting to learn republicanTs are only in office to gain money.
Democratic? because the oil companies have ruined everyplace they have drilled?
I am all for the environment, but self sufficiency and a tougher stand for lower oil prices are more important.
Democrats want to keep us out of Alaska.
and vote for tax increases on a regular basis? That's a tough question. Huh. Same party that thinks they will control the price of oil by taxing the profits? The same party the caters to the moron? Taxing to make things cheaper. Please.
democrats !!! Save the elk! Save the Forest oh for the love of the seals and the mating rituals of the flying squirrels dont drill anymore Oil in the US !!!
Democratic. We need to find alternatives like in Brazil
not mine.
The higher oil prices get the more sense it makes to extract oil from alaska , off shore , and black sand.
These were argued to be cost prohibited due to the ease and low price of foreign oil. This argument fails at current price.
Exploration may cause opec to lower their price.
The only thing getting dilled. Is people with Obama Lies.
