I Saw an By the API the Other Day, Again. Why is Big Oil So Hot for Offshore Drilling Permits?

Because there are known reserves of oil offshore.

Well, you can call it ';greed,'; but they're doing what their job is. Is it ';greed'; if a Prius dealership finds more cars to sell? Is it greed if an artist produces more art to sell?





Oil companies are in the oil business, and as long as we need the stuff, it's in our best interest if they find more of it to sell to us.

';Why is Big Oil So Hot for Offshore Drilling Permits?'; it is either because they want to help and they see themselves as a corporate Mother Teresa or because they want to make 100s of billions of dollars, I'm leaning toward the latter.
