Pelosi is off on summer vacation pushing her crap book. Why is she not, as Speaker of the House, calling a special session to hammer out the details of some domestic drilling, funding and building of nuke plants and the construction of more refineries?Doesn't this explain why Nancy Pelosi is blocking a vote on oil drilling?
We have been extorted by oil cartels for 30 years and they have convinced many that's okay if we can just lower the price of gas. Nicola Tesla warned almost 80 years ago we needed to change from fossil fuels, but he was ignored. We need to convert to alternative energy as soon as possible while we can, otherwise what we face now will be nothing like it will be another 30 years from now. Oil companies already have licenses to drill off shore and in Alaska, but they want us to be persuaded to give them access to more. It's obvious their ploy seems to be working because many of you are ready to resist the inevitable, we must find better alternative energy sources. Drilling for more oil is only a temporary solution.
i would be willing to best that most all of congress benefits by the high prices, the taxes the oil company provides them plus the taxes that they receive from each gallon is historic as well as their profits.





Pelosi says she will allow the vote but will load any bill with ear marks for her favorite entilelments among other things that will raise the budget monumentally (and bush will be blamed for the debt) and keep our dependence on foriegn oil so that will fill their growing coffers also while punishing our domestic companies and favoring the foriegn ones.

Absolutely, that is why one says always FOLLOW THE MONEY. Our Politicians (the majority it seems anyways) are looking out for their OWN POCKETBOOK. They could really give a ';hoot'; about we the people, which is OBVIOUS by how they vote. Pay attention people. This Gore's global warming is a way for our Government to take further control of you and me. It is also a way that these people are truly filling their pockets at OUR EXPENSE.

Your post was very interesting. Seems she has some interest in not drilling for oil. What a hypocrite. On top of that she hates Bush so much, her eyes are crossed. She will NEVER vote for anything that Bush wants, never!, She is a evil person. Enough said.
Well she is blocking it because she wants more wind and solar , the fact that she has an investment may not be the main reason.





Anyone knows that Wind %26amp; Solar will never amount to more then maybe 40% of the energy supply and then it would not be cheap
