When will we start drilling off shore to supply our own oil?

After this country gets wise and votes out the Democrats from Congress and the White House.

You know, the Democrat policy is to CUT OFF OUR NOSE TO SPITE OUR FACEWhen will we start drilling off shore to supply our own oil?
When the media, environmentalists and lapdog congressmen take the trouble to look at the history of offshore drilling. They worry that offshore platforms may have an oil spill. As with everything else that is man-made, that is of course a possibility. What doesn't seem to bother any of them is the fact that we import 10 million barrels of crude oil per day, most of which comes in by ultra large crude carriers (UL CC). These tankers are too large to enter any U.S. port in the lower 48. Some unload at the LOOP, an offshore facility in the Gulf of Mexico. The majority are offloaded after rounding the tip of Florida by bringing smaller tankers along either side, while the UL CC is underway, and pumping the oil into these vessels for transport to one of our ports. ULCC's aren't very maneuverable at best, and with a ship strapped on either side aren't maneuverable at all. It is an absolute Miracle that there has not been a spill in the Gulf from a collision. When it happens, it will make the Valdez look like an afternoon in the park. (The ULCC's carry 3,000,000 barrels.)When will we start drilling off shore to supply our own oil?
The Folks that had a plan for energy independence lost the election to someone that wanted to spread the wealth. Well he is spreading the wealth right out of your pocket into the great abyss.

Not another word will be spoken again of the great oilfields of Alaska and right off our Gulf coast.

Smile you Arabs smile.

They got what they paid for.
If I am not mistaken, those leases are already held by the likes of China and other countries who have no regard for environmental issues.
