Oil Drilling: ';Will the Democrat Congress be willing to snub 67 % of America in an Election Year?';?

67% of Americans now want Domestic Oil Production to Increase, and believe this will alleviate the price we pay at the pump. Bush and McCain have thrown down the gauntlet......What will the Left do?Oil Drilling: ';Will the Democrat Congress be willing to snub 67 % of America in an Election Year?';?
What will they do?

Probably what they always do . . . delay, blame conservatives, wait till things are in crisis mode and then take credit for the solution when they finally get off their rear end and do something.Oil Drilling: ';Will the Democrat Congress be willing to snub 67 % of America in an Election Year?';?
The phony excuses continue. Global warming?

So how does it change global warming if we use our oil or the imported brand?

Will not reduce the price!

Even if it does not why keep sending half a trillion each year to the supporters of hate America.

Do not have enough oil!

BS

Take years to produce!

So why wait any longer the dems banned oil production many years ago and are responsible for the situation today.
They have thrown down the gaultlet on an idea that will only work seven years later. Only fuel-efficient cars and conversation will alleviate the pain of high gas prices. Even if we allow offshore drilling, the marketplace will force us to get cars with better gas mileage, to use public transport, to drive less and to consume less gas.
Giz, once the Exxons and Shells have tasted $4 a gallon gasoline, they will never go back, even if they find 800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 barrels in the wilds of Montana. Just as in the '70s, which I remember very well, when prices on goods and services rose, they never rolled back.

You, and that 67% you cite, are either naive, or overly optimistic.
an over whelming majority in the states where the drilling is to take place support the ban. Utah and Florida are conservative states, so this is a bi-partisan issue.

what is the right going to do?

edit: falstaff

you are so spot on.
The Dem's want to keep prices high. They want us to use less and pay more. Its not about the will of the people. Its more like the will of enviro wackos.
Have the Republicans in power been willing to snub the 63% of Americans who believe the Iraq war has not been worth it? Yes.
They will stick to their guns and hope that Obama wins so they can do it and say it was their idea.
Only 29 percent of American approve of Bush. What will he do?
Mccain said he would drill now.
I hope they fight it...they will then get their @sses kicked in November.
