Yes. Because the party of the ';poor';, is not allowing relief to get to the poor. People living in poverty like conditions are there voting block. As long as oil prices don't go down, people will hate the Republican Party.


But some democrat voters who have to put food on the table and pay bills are demanding actions from the democrats.


But now we come to the line on the sand. Are the democrat voters going to allow the democrat party leadership to tell them how to think? Or are the democrat voters going to tell them how they feel and demand drilling now.

If I were a politician I wouldn't want the people having negative views of me spoiling a national park for no visible gain. Drilling isn't going to change the price at the gas pump.





America needs to get started on a different infrastructure, such as trains, and get such alternatives built fast.

There is no oil there. Its just a rumour to keep Americans from going mad over gas prices. Point is if there was oil there they will drill it. Second thing to know is that even if they do have oil and they do drill, gas prices will still rise. because the Oil companies don't care about ordinary people. Only SHAREHOLDERS.
Some Dem politicians are starting to feel the heat from the voters.They'd like to stay in office and off HIT lists.


People see lower gas prices and millions of jobs in American Oil production.
I'm not aware that the Democratic Party has ever been unified on any one issue. So in the case of drilling for oil I will have to say, ';business as usual for the Dems.';
No refineries in 35 years...road blocks to drilling everytime. I don't think so. After all weren't all the conservatives making fun of our Priuses while they proclaimed their right to an SUV. I'm actually enjoying the market shift that's resulting from this.
